Throughout December 2022, COERR supported youth groups in 9 Temporary Shelters in their merry activities held to celebrate Christmas festival. They gathered in groups to walk and sing Christmas wishing songs from house to house. For Christmas Mass, COERR and the priests would celebrated in the Church in the Temporary Shelters. In addition to Christmas masses, there were nativity play, children and youth’s merry performance such as singing, music playing, etc. COERR Mae Hong Son celebrated Mass on December 24-25, in St. Mary’s Church, Ban Mai Nai Soi Temporary Shelter, Mueng Mae Hong Son District, in which 660 faithful of 450 females and 210 males participated; and in Sacred Heart’s Church, Ban Mae Surin Temporary Shelter, Khun Yuam District, in which 82 faithful of 45 females and 37 males participated. COERR Mae Sarieng also celebrated Mass on December 24-25, in St. Mary Church of Mae Lama Luang Temporary Shelter, in which 397 faithful of 200 females and 197 males participated; and in St. Theresa Church of Ban Mae La Oon Temporary Shelter, Sob Moei District, Mae Hong Son Province, in which 635 faithful of 358 females and 277 males participated. COERR Mae Sot celebrated Christmas Mass at COERR Social Services Center in Ban Mae La Temporary Shelter, on December 2, 2022, in which 64 faithful of 54 females and 10 males participated. The Christmas Mass was also celebrated in Ban Umpiem Temporary Shelter, on December 13, 2022 in which 42 faithful of 30 females and 12 males participated; and at St. Paul’s Church of Ban Nupo Temporary Shelter, on December 14, 2022 in which 38 faithful of 29 females and 9 males participated. COERR Kanchanaburi celebrated Mass at Mary Queen of Peace Church in Ban Don Yang Temporary Shelter, Kanchanaburi Province, on December 21, 2022; and at Mary Queen of the most Holy Rosary Church in Ban Tham Hin Temporary Shelter, Ratchaburi Province, on December 25, 2022. After the Mass, the priests provided consumable supplies to the poor and needy families, visited the bed ridden patients and elderly, performed anointing of the sick, comforted the families, etc.
